Unfortunately our refrigerator quit working while still under warranty. LG would not send a service representative to us or contact us because we didnt have a receipt even though they knew our purchase date etc. We had to buy another brand and cant recommend the LG brand. Mainly due to lack of good customer service.

2nd Review....apparently you did not like my first one. 12-2-2024 Still unrepaired a very unhappy unsatisfied customer. Possessed Refrigerator Refrig worked great till Oct 2024....still waiting for a successful repair. 1st repair called for a compressor when they came back about a month later the new tech said it only needed a new control panel. Few days later it was installed it did not work. Had to come back to reinstall the old control panel which works for about 24 hrs after you unplug it for 20 minutes. Nov 24 waiting fpr another control panel. Time off from work spoiled food the purchase of a small refrig still having a problem.

The condenser stopped working within 4 years of manufacture date and LG is refusing repair because I cannot find the bill of sale. None of my local repair shops will touch an in-warranty fridge and LG wont fix it. So I had to buy a new fridge and have gotten zero response from LG on this to fix it.

I purchased this Refrigerator in November 2021 it was just what we were looking for and fit our space just fine. For almost 3 years it worked flawlessly then two weeks before Thanksgiving 2024 the entire unit stopped cooling. First we thought a new refrigerator would be our only option to have a refrigerator in time for Thanksgiving but we decided to at least give emailing Customer Service a try since the unit was still in warranty. Very quickly I was communicating with CS via online chat they walked me through some basic test procedures quickly it was determined there was a problem in the closed system compressor failure. I was told a service technician would call soon to make an appointment for the compressor replacement. The next morning I received a call made an appointment for two days later for a technician to come to my house. The day of our appointment the service guy arrived ontime completed the compressor replacement quickly at no cost to us and was on his way. The refrigerator was repaired in time for Thanksgiving and it is now operation perfectly. Im very happy with the urgency LG applied for us in this matter. Overall I am happy with my refrigerator and would buy LG products in the future.

The city oppressor went out a you replaced it as it was under warranty but not in a timely manner. I lost at least $500 worth of meat. A person who handles replacement said yall would give me $100 replacement. That was a slap in the face. Another week went by and yall offered $250. I accepted it because I so tired of dealing with you. I will never buy another thing from you nor will I recommend you. I am still waiting on my money

Our refrigerator is 1 year old and the compressor and 2 other parts died Adding INSULT TO THE INJURY the parts which were in stock took 2 weeks to ship. Refrigerator sits doors open to prevent mold while we wait for the parts. Those who answer the phone are nice and pleasant but unfortunately they are not the ones who just have to put them in a box to be shipped. Buy anything else.

3 and a half years after buying new and it completely stopped freezing and cooling in any capacity. Had to play the waiting game every single step of the way for repairs. 3-5 days wait for every little step of the process while my family lost all our food and we had to eat out of coolers for a month. They dragged their feet and showed no urgency in resolving the matter and I had to frequently call them to check on the process or demand it be expedited. It took them 3-5 days to tell me they didnt have any LG certified techs in my area a week for my local tech to get a part that didnt work because the diagnostic system on the fridge said nothing was wrong 3-5 days to send me refund information 3-5 days to verify the refund amount 3-5 days to send me my money when it was all verified. And when it says 3-5 days it really means 5- unless you spend every day on the phone bothering them about it then you might get lucky and get only a 4 day delay. Run far away. Ended up getting a refund after a month and a million telephone calls.

Bought the fridge 4 years ago and the compressor went out. I called a repairman to look at it and he confirmed that it was the compressor. He gave me an estimate of 1100.00 to fix. I than called LG and they gaurantee their compressors for 10 years and they fixed it for free

I bought this fridge 4 years ago and the compresser went out. it was under warranty but it took a month to get it repaired. whats the point of a warranty when it takes a month to get it fixed.

Over all I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars as very reliable - until now as the compressor just went out and though under warranty has not been replaced in a months period of time yet with little to no communication from LG on this matter

First 2 years were great. Then the fridge started making a popping sound. When someone came out after numerous calls they changed out the ice maker. Within less then a year the sou f was back. Same problem getting someone to come out to check. By this time the freezer and fridge stopped working. Most of the food was lost.as I had very little roo. Left in the freezer in the garage. The condenser went out. Still havent been paid for the lost food. $250.00 in food lost

Sleek and spacious but unreliable

This fridge is sleek and spacious. However after less than a year and a half of owning it the seal system went and both the fridge and freezer stopped cooling. It took nearly 2.5 months of contacting customer service to come up with a resolution since the seal system is under a 5 year warranty.

I bought an LG single door bottom freezer two years ago for $1800.00. This October we noticed an issue with the both fridge and freezer keeping cold. Due to be under 5 years old LG replaced the part after many phone calls. However we are suppose to get reimbursed for food loss. To say customer service has been confusing is an understatement. I was told I would be getting a call to discuss payment and it never happened. I have called so many times and explained the situation. I dont think I would spend my money or time on a LG product again.

This is a great unit with plenty of space for all of the necessities plus its very energy efficient. The only downside is that the compressor on our unit died two years after purchase - thankfully LG has a warranty program that covered a new compressor.

Never buying LG again. Fridge broke after just 3 years. No one around here can fix it. Customer service was awful. They had me wait two weeks for them to find someone even though they knew no one would come out here. Another week of sending me google forms to fill out that were broken links. One person on the phone was nice and tried to be helpful another was rude and it was loud like she was at a party. The place I bought the fridge went out of business so I cant get the info from them. Fridge had been registered this whole time but they say they cant replace or give a refund. Not only did I buy an expensive piece of trash but now I have to pay to get rid of this thing. Never buy LG

This unit is less than 3 years old and still under warranty. LG refused to refund me or replace because I couldnt show a receipt as the original owner. I provided documentation that showed I purchased the appliance with my home purchase. I kept working with customer service who consistently said they would folllow up on 24-48 hours. It took over a month to receive a partial refund which was less than 1/4th of the unit is still selling for.

Worked Great Then Didnt

The fridge worked great for awhile but then stopped working all of a sudden before wed had it 4 years. We loved it initially but were very disappointed that it gave out so quickly. I hope theyre able to fix whatever the issue was since Ive heard its not an uncommon occurrence. So the initial quality was great would have been 5 out of 5 stars but because it lacked longevity the overall quality and rating are lacking.

I bought our fridge about a year ago. We included a service agreement with our purchase. We found that the freezer was warming we pulled it away from the wall and vacuumed the coils and after plugging back it in again the freezer started to work. After 24 hrs it stopped. We called for service Andre was super helpful and made the steps of self check and check for codes easy - no codes - we reset refer and we were all set we thought .. Two days later the refrigerator stopped cooling/freezing. Called service again- gave case # and all our notes were in the system and made it easy to convey to new agent we need to have repair come out. It took two days to have a repair person call and say he was in the area and could come at 4:30 ish his name was Sal and was great He did his diagnostics and had to replace the compressor and updated software and it we were up and running in no time. He really new his stuff

Reversible Door but you have to handle it

We purchased this in part due to the reversible door. We paid the extra fee for installation. Installer would not reverse door. 45 minutes on the phone with LG customer care and their answer is that we need to find someone to reverse it ourselves and pay for it ourselves. Why did we pay an installation fee???

This refrigerator is 4 years old. It stopped cooling a week ago. Its still under warranty but Customer Service has not found a technician willing or available to repair it. Its time for LG to either send a technician or refund my money but their Customer Service is not responsive. I think they hope Ill get frustrated and just repair/replace it myself because how long can someone be expected to go without a working refrigerator?

i bought this back in 2021 as an extra fridge and it worked great up unitl it stopped working 2 weeks ago. gave it a 3 because it did work good but it should have lasted longer than 3 years. LG is a nightmare for warranty. i submitted a claim to be told the system is not working or recognizing my serial #. purchased at lowes and have reciept as well as the lowes extended warranty which had just expired.
